Best food trucks in London

The street food culture in London is ever evolving, with more vendors trading every day and reputations being forged from the side of the road - it’s high time we started taking kerbside dining seriously. Bricks and mortar restaurants are no longer the only way to enjoy incredible food – check out some of our recommendations for the best food trucks in London, serving superb sustenance with a lower price tag.

The Rib Man

Nestled among the many food trucks in Shoreditch, The Rib Man serves rib meat wraps and rolls with a selection of homemade sauces that are also available from their online sauce shop. The pork is sourced from outdoor reared Norfolk and Suffolk farms and as a former butcher, The Rib Man knows quality. Enjoy hot or bbq-slathered rib rack meat piled into your choice of bread, available every Sunday at Brick Lane’s Truman Brewery Market.

Sud Italia

Neapolitan-owned London pizza truck, Sud Italia, is one of the top Italian food trucks in Spitalfields market with additional vans in Hammersmith and Camden. Their pizzas are cooked in traditional wood-fired ovens with the highest quality ingredients imported straight from Italy. The heat in the oven gives the perfect rise to a pillowy crust, that is lightly charred and topped to your taste - from the classic margherita to an autumnal zucca featuring pumpkin and blue cheese. You can enjoy Sud Italia Monday-Sunday at Old Spitalfields Market nearby Liverpool Street Station.

Rice Guys Food Truck

Rice Guys was born in 2017 with the intention to address the lack of quality Chinese lunch options for the London office goers. As one of the best food vans in London, Rice guys endeavours to provide healthy and tasty lunches for those on-the go.

The Chinese-inspired menu features a range of proteins from barbecue pork to mapo tofu, all served with fluffy rice, a selection of textured toppings and a long list of veggie sides.

They’re based in Paddington Merchant Square Monday-Friday and Canopy Market Friday-Sunday, and they occasionally pop up in Kings Cross too. If you’d rather sit down to enjoy your rice box, pop by the Canary Wharf store.

Baba G's

They’ve been serving food for over 10 years and that’s how you know Baba G’s is a big deal, with locations in Camden’s West Yard Stall, the London Bridge Vinegar Yards and Pop Brixton, they’ve dubbed themselves ‘the spice alchemists of London’. The Indian food truck menu features a range of burgers - their signature lamb burger is a popular order; they offer veggie and vegan options, and their special Bhangra Burger is halal-friendly and layered with spices.

The hot pink branding is easy to spot, and the decadent dishes are truly memorable. Stop by Camden Market at the Camden Town food trucks on Monday-Sunday to get a taste of Baba G’s.

The Orange Buffalo

If you’re looking for a taste of New York in the bustling capital city, look no further. An American-inspired street food truck in London, the concept of Orange Buffalo came to fruition in 2012 and now feeds thousands at The Truman Brewery in Shoreditch’s Brick Lane.

They serve New York-style Buffalo wings, ribs, subs and chips plus vegan options too and all dishes can be customised to your liking with a range of homemade hot sauces, which can also be bought at their online shop.
